Children's workshop: Wintery shapes made from polystyrene

Under the theme "Wintery shapes", the workshop at Haus Appenzell invites children and young people to realise their creative ideas using polystyrene. Whether snow stars, winter animals, snow figures or winter landscapes – polystyrene is a versatile and easy material to work with. Under the expert guidance of art mediators Debora Gerber and Nicole Heri, the young participants will learn how to cut, assemble and combine polystyrene to create figures, sculptures, reliefs or installations.

The workshop stimulates children's and young people's creativity and love of experimentation, teaches them the basics of shaping and is intended to encourage them to realise their own ideas in a playful way using recycling materials.
