Event: March 14, 2024

The 2024 Sechseläuten programme was unveiled at the media conference of the Central Committee of the Zurich Guilds, which took place on 14 March 2024 at Haus Appenzell. Under the motto "ausserrhodentlich", Appenzell Ausserrhoden will present its entertaining, customs-orientated and tradition-conscious side as this year's guest canton.

Haus Appenzell will march in the procession of the guilds on Sechseläuten Monday with its own carriage as a guest of the Zunft zur Schmiden. The performance will be characterised by a humorous alpine parade by the renowned Eastern Swiss wood sculptor Daniel Eggli, whose works can currently be seen in the "Hölzigi" exhibition at Haus Appenzell.
