Exhibition opening "Between light and shadow"

 

On October 4th 2018, the atmospheric opening of the exhibition "Between light and shadow – Old craft | Guilds | Lanterns" took place in the courtyard of Haus Appenzell. The Foundation President Ernst Hohl welcomed numerous lenders, guests from Germany, guild masters from Basel, Schaffhausen and Zurich, and the public authorities, among others, the President of the cantonal executive of Appenzell Innerrhoden, Roland Inauen, the Government Councillor of the Canton of Zurich, Silvia Steiner, the Government Councillor of the Canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Dölf Biasotto, the President of the Canton Council of Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Beat Landolt, the President of the Cantonal Parliament of Appenzell Innerrhoden, Franz Fässler, and the mayor of Urnäsch, Peter Kürsteiner.

The historical introduction was presented by Rolf Schläpfer, guild master of the "Zunft zur Schmiden" Zurich, supported by the guild's music society "Harmonie Adliswil". The curator Hao Hohl presented the development process and the highlights of the exhibition and invited the guests to an exhibition visit and a rich aperitif.
