Event: Oct. 4, 2023

On 4 October 2023, the atmospheric vernissage of the exhibition "Wooden" took place in the presence of many political celebrities from the two Appenzells and Zurich at Haus Appenzell. Among the most prominent guests were former Federal Councillor Hans-Rudolf Merz, the current President of the Zurich Government Mario Fehr, the Mayor of Innerrhoden Roland Inauen, the Councillors of Ausserrhoden Alfred Stricker and Hansueli Reutegger.

After welcoming remarks by Foundation President Ernst Hohl, curator Hao Hohl-Yu gave an introduction to the new exhibition. The vernissage was musically framed by Chlefeler Röbi Kessler accompanied by Swiss accordion player Res Ulrich from Schwyz, whereby the two – thematically meaningful – brought all kinds of wooden instruments such as Chlefeli, Büchel and brooms to sound.
