The exhibition on Niklaus Wenk opened on 25th October 2007. It was curated by Simone and Peter Schaufelberger-Breguet and contained major works of the 93-year-old painter. Niklaus Wenk, born in Wildhaus, Toggenburg, is one of the most important representatives of rural painting.
The exhibition is accompanied by an illustrated catalogue with a preface by Kathrin Hilber, member of the government of St. Gallen, and texts by Simone Schaufelberger-Breguet, St. Gallen, and Dr. Hans Büchler, Wattwil.
