Event: Nov. 14, 2024
Thanks to a long and healthy life expectancy, more and more women and men can benefit from an extended active retirement age. The proportion of older people who are culturally active, for example, has increased significantly. At the same time, more and more retired people do not feel "old" – and perceived and actual age are becoming increasingly divergent. Studies show that sufficient exercise, continuing education in old age and good social contacts can further extend the number of healthy retirement years. The lecture will present and discuss important changes in old age.
Lecture by Prof. Dr. François Höpflinger from the Centre for Gerontology at the University of Zurich.
