Reading from "Wetterfest" with Hedi Kohler

«Wetterfest – Geschichten aus dem Appenzellerland» brings together 24 portraits of elderly people at the end of their journey. Each story follows a trace of a life lived, which Hedi Kohler respectfully observed and collected during her time as a care manager in a retirement home in Rehetobel, Appenzell. These are pictures about the courage to face life, about beauty, transience and decay – about an existence shaped and endured with dignity. The texts are framed with photographs of weathering shingles by Appenzell photographer Mäddel Fuchs.
