Event: May 5, 2022

On 5 May 2022, the Haus Appenzell whisked us away to an extraterrestrial home evening. Christian Zehnder's "Songs from New Space Mountain" drew from the archaic pronouncements of the human voice and were completely anchored in the topos of the alpine world. The music of the unique voice artist can be understood as an imaginary utopia of the homeland: A sound cosmos of overtone singing, global yodeling and all kinds of manipulated sound tools such as seesaw accordion, mouth whistles, diving goggles, bell and mini-moog.
